1951—Julián’s separation

Two peculiar men with detective hats and suits came to our driveway. One was tall, blond, Anglo-Saxon, green eyes, and of German descent. The other was of light-brown skin and Mexican. The moment he saw them, DJ thought something was wrong. A tall Gringo and a Mexican, both wearing hats and suits… mmm… not a good sign, he thought.

“Good afternoon. How can I help you, señores?” DJ greeted them.

“¿Es usted el señor dueño de estas propiedades? [Are you the owner of these properties?],” asked the Mexican person.
